Learning how to hem your own pants and jeans is an investment that will pay for itself over and over. Join us for a three-hour skills-based workshop this August and leave with a hemmed pair of pants!
In this class we will:
Learn how to properly measure inseams
Learn how to pin, mark, cut, and sew hems
Explore four types of hem finishes
What you need to know:
Pick between two dates: August 9 or 16. Class time will run from 1 to 4 pm.
This class is intended for people who have mastered the basics of machine and hand sewing. If you’ve taken our Intro to Sewing Class series, this is a great next step! However, completing the Intro to Sewing Class is not a requirement - just make sure you can work your machine and understand the basics of sewing.
We will be limiting our class size to four people to make sure every student gets personal attention.
You will need to bring your sewing machine, sewing notions, thread, and a pair of pants to hem. Sewing machines are available upon request!
This class will take place in the Ephrata Borough. Address will be sent to students who register. Short breaktime included in class time.
